for Akash. 2015 was the most difficult year of his life. He lost both his father and brother within a span of six months. Father died due to stroke. At the same time, after two months his brother also left this world. There was no money in Akash's house. He had to take care of his mother. For this reason he left cricket for three years. Later Akash felt that he could not stay away from cricket for long. After this went to Durgapur. From there again reached Kolkata. Started living with brother in a small room.

Friend and uncle helped
Akash always thanks his friend. He told that his friend helped him a lot in bad times. He got a chance to play club cricket in Durgapur. They earn money from tennis ball cricket. Uncle also helped a lot in Durgapur. He pulled Akash out of difficulties and inspired him to focus on cricket. Akash played his first first-class match for Bengal in 2019. In the same year, he also got a chance to debut in List A and T20 formats.

Before entering international cricket, Akash has played 30 first-class matches for Bengal. During this period he took 104 wickets. He has 42 wickets in his name in 28 List A matches. At the same time, he has taken 48 wickets in 41 T20s. Akash plays for Virat Kohli's team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL. He has taken six wickets in seven matches for the team.
